Trollhättan is a city located by the Göta River with a rich industrial and innovative history. It all began by the Trollhättan Waterfalls were mills used the power of the waterfalls. Later big industries would grow from these humble beginnings like NOHAB and the famous Saab cars.

Even today, innovation is a keyword with new and exciting companies being formed here and our university that teaches tomorrows coworkers.

Trollhätte Canalpark

Explore Trollhätte Canalpark during your visit in Trollhättan. The canalpark follows the waters of Göta river from the Vårvik area in the north, past Trollhättan's City Park, along Spikön island and central Trollhättan, all the way past the nature reserve of Älvrummet down to the fantastic Locks area in the south. 

Trollhätte Canalpark offers its guests a wide range of attractions and activities suitable for all ages. We hope you have time to explore the area while visiting us. 

Short walk: Spikörundan

Distance: 2.5 kilometers

A short, relaxing walk that is close by central Trollhättan that takes you by the green oasis Spikön, surrounded by the waters of Göta river.

Medium walk: Innovatumrundan

Distance: 5 kilometers

Enjoy a walk along the Trollhätte canal from central Trollhättan to the Innovatum District and back.

Long walk: Slussrundan

Distance: 7.5 kilometers

If you are looking for a longer walk then the Slussrundan walk will take you all the way from central Trollhättan down to the Trollhättan Locks area.
