Spring in Trollhättan Vänersborg
Finally, spring has arrived and it offers not only long-awaited sun and warmth but also several highlights when it comes to events. It is now that we celebrate Easter with good food and candy, we watch the Valborg bonfire and sing songs of spring and much more.
It's also a time to get out and see how the world comes to life again after a long winter. Young and old can enjoy the spring warmth at our many nature areas or go out on various activities, there are plenty of bike trails, hiking trails and more to choose from. For families with children, spring is also a perfect time to visit the cities' playgrounds or try out different activities at our museums.

Summer in Trollhättan Vänersborg
Summer really offers a lot to guests visiting Trollhättan and Vänersborg. In addition to holidays such as Swedish National Day on the 6th of June and Midsummer celebration in end of June it is also a time for festivals in our area. In Vänersborg the annual Aqua Blue Festival with music, market, activities and more is held by the shores of Lake Vänern. Later in the summer, the Waterfall Days Festival takes place in Trollhättan and welcomes everyone with music, activities and much more throughout the city to celebrate the Trollhättan Waterfalls.
There are also plenty of things to see and do in summer such as boat trips on the Göta River, see the Trollhättan Waterfalls (please note, due to the ongoing energy crisis there will be no release of water in the falls during summer 2023), safaris on nearby Halle- and Hunneberg and more. Enjoy good food at one of our summer cafes or go on adventures in our beautiful nature, try your fishing luck or try getting that hole-in-one at one of our golf courses. For those rainy days take the time to walk around one of our museums and learn more about the history of Trollhättan and Vänersborg.

Autumn in Trollhättan Vänersborg
It is time for beautiful autumn. Enjoy something to eat while enjoying the colors of nature changing, from green to yellow and orange. Near both Trollhättan and Vänersborg there are many good places to watch the autumn colors. For the children, autumn means a time for fun activities during autumn vacation and for many food is in focus with autumn markets and food safaris in our area.
Autumn is also a time of culture with music, dance, art and theater. Several major cultural events take place each fall with something for everyone. And while you wait for the next big event, you can take the opportunity to visit one of our museums or art galleries that has different exhibitions and fun activities during autumn.
Winter in Trollhättan Vänersborg
Christmas is finally here! The snow colors the ground white and far away you can hear music playing. Winter is a time that offers not only fun outdoor activities but also several good excuses to stay indoors. Christmas markets, food, concerts, everything you could wish for. We also celebrate New Year with a bang in both cities so you should not miss it.
Then after Christmas and New Year, relax and enjoy the tranquility of late winter. Try ice skating or maybe cross-country skiing. Soon spring is here again.
