Getting here by plane
Did you know that Trollhättan and Vänersborg have their own airport? Here, traffic to Bromma Airport in Stockholm goes daily and is perfect for a quick and easy journey between the cities. It is also very easy to get here from Landvetter Airport outside of Gothenburg.
Landvetter Airport
If you arrive at Landvetter Airport outside of Gothenburg you can easily reach Trollhättan and Vänersborg without renting a car. Just take the airport buses from Landvetter to Gothenburg Nils Ericson Bus Terminal, a trip only taking about 30 minutes. In the same building as Nils Ericson Bus Terminal is the Gothenburg Train Station, here you can board a train that will take you to Trollhättan and Vänersborg in only about 35 minutes.
The airport buses run approximately every ten minutes daily and the trains run several times a day from early morning to late evening.

Trollhättan Vänersborg Airport
There is also a local airport, Trollhättan Vänersborg Airport that is located just outside Trollhättan. Here the company Västflyg have daily flights between Trollhättan/Vänersborg and Bromma Airport in Stockholm. The airport offers free parking in a well-lit car park just outside the front door. Food and drinks are available in the airport building. If you come by plane, you can easily order a taxi to the city, it takes only about 15 minutes to reach either Trollhättan or Vänersborg. Travel time to Bromma Airport is about 1 hour and 5 minutes.
