At Mellbygatans Restaurant, every meal is an experience. You can sit down and enjoy slightly more luxurious lunches, soups, salads, burgers, or a club sandwich. In the evenings, the à la carte menu features creative interpretations of traditional Swedish dishes with influences from both Europe and Asia. The menu follows the seasons and is updated regularly.

The kitchen team loves to work with locally sourced ingredients—sometimes harvested directly from the restaurant’s own garden, which also houses the outdoor seating area. After your meal, treat yourself to a sweet finish such as a deep-fried cinnamon bun with ice cream, rhubarb dessert, herb sorbet, or plum compote—often made with ingredients from the garden.

Takeaway, catering, and events

For larger groups, birthday celebrations, or business meetings, the Garden House in the courtyard can be booked as a Chambre Séparée—a private and pleasant setting for all types of events. Recurring events such as wine and beer tastings are also held here throughout the year.

If you’d like to enjoy Mellbygatans’ food at home, at work, or elsewhere, takeaway is available for both lunch and dinner. For private parties and corporate events, we offer catering with great variety—from simple sandwiches to buffets, barbecue evenings, or three-course meals, all tailored to your wishes.

Mellbygatans is part of the Taste of West Sweden network. This network brings together restaurants and cafés that, in close collaboration with local producers, offer West Swedish culinary experiences based on seasonal, local ingredients.
