Welcome to your guide to concerts and festivals in Dalsland, summer 2025. From larger events to intimate gigs paired with great food – here you'll find a wide variety of live music, often featuring genres like singer-songwriters, blues, rockabilly, and country.

The Dalsland music calendar of 2026

June

June 12-14 - Rostockfestivalen
A cosy mini-festival with live music on verandas, in gardens and the barn. The sauna is warm, the vintage shops are open, the art is hanging more or less straight in the studios and country music is playing on the veranda.

June 15 juni - Västerut – a musical your around West Sweden
Folk music featuring songs selected from handwritten sheet music and old recordings held in the archive.

June 19 - The cover band MTB
Well-known and popular songs from the golden years. Here you’ll find a medley of Swedish, Norwegian, English and American tunes. An evening designed to get your dancing feet moving and everyone singing along.

June 23 Mikael Blom & Benny Jonsson
The premiere of "Scensomar" in Håverud offers an instrumental journey through the world of country music. It is part of a series of performances running from 23 June to 9 August.

June 26 - Nashville Night 1
The first of three evenings of this summer’s Nashville nights in Dalbergså. Featuring Out West, Ronja Memselius and Country Cats & Hard Times.

June 27 - Live på Vänna: Our Man In The Field (UK)
Experiencing Our Man In The Field in our barn – surrounded by woodland, open fields and the lake right next door – is quite unlike a normal concert. It feels truly intimate.

June 27 Sommarfest (Summer party)
A new summer tradition on the headland in Åmål. A proper family day that grows into a festival experience as the evening draws in. Featuring Günther, Rednex, 10,2, Sarek and others

July 3 - 5 Kanalyran
A popular town festival with a history stretching back nearly 60 years. Food, competitions, live music and tents.

July 3  - Myrans Orkester
A lively tribute to the swinging jazz and swing music of the 1920s, brought into our own 2020s. Put on your dancing shoes and come along!

July 4 - Anton Lazarides & Panasonics
High-energy rock ’n’ roll and power pop in Swedish. Inspired by the sound of the 60s and 70s. Expect high energy, a real passion for playing, and upbeat tunes.

Lace up your walking shoes, pack a blanket and get ready for the wonderfully cosy Gardens of Music. Four bands, four gardens and 2.5 km!

July 9-11 - Åmåls Blues Fest
Åmål's Blues Fest is a multi-day international blues festival that has grown to become Sweden's leading event since the start in 1992.

Seydi Mandoza delivers powerful reggae rhythms, a commanding stage presence and an energetic experience that resonates in both heart and body.

July 17 - Cats and Dinosaurs
The left-wing feminist swing collective Cats and Dinosaurs combines danceable swing with political edge, delivering a proper dance party.

July 23 - Live at Vänna: Country med Ole Kirkeng (NO) + Treehugger!
A summer evening of fantastic music in the barn. Country artist Ole Kirkeng is one of the most interesting voices on the Norwegian/Nordic country scene.

July 23 Nashville Night 2
The second evening of this summer’s three Nashville nights in Dalbergså. Featuring ASK, the Southern Gospel Boys and 49 Fingers.

July 23 - August 2 - Summer music by the Canal with Alban Faust
This summer, the lock areas and riverbanks along the Dalsland Canal will be filled with live folk music when the national folk musician Alban Faust sets off on tour.

The band from Arvika that blends spruce forests and tarmac in a mix of folk songs, folk rock and Värmland-style Americana. Wonderful music and good food.

July 25 Jazz festival "Jazz in the forrest"
A cosy jazz festival in a beautiful cultural setting. The evening features no fewer than five ensembles.

July 31 - Maia Hirasawa
With her distinctive voice and melodic songs, Maia Hirasawa is an integral part of the Swedish – and Japanese – music scene. Wonderful music and good food.

July 31 - August 1 - Hometown Country in Dals-Ed
Filling the venue at Stora Lee with country music, beats, boots, bluegrass and a real hometown vibe. The best festival weekend of the summer for all country music lovers.

August 1 Nilsen’s Southern Harmony
A live band known for their infectious enthusiasm, powerful songs and high-energy stage presence. The band operates at the intersection of country, Americana and roots rock.

August 7 Thilini Guldbrand Trio
Bold and experimental interpretations of Cornelis Vreeswijk’s lyrics and music. Live music and a two-course seasonal menu.

August 8 - Åmålskalaset 
During the day, the focus is on activities for children and young people, and in the evening there’s live music on the stage in the square. Plenty of reasons to visit Åmål this weekend!

August 8 Onkel Tuka
Audience favourites Onkel Tuka are back at Nössemarks Café. They are known for their explosive live performances and their unique blend of bluegrass, Americana, gospel and classic Halden-rock.

The final evening of this summer’s three Nashville nights in Dalbergså. Featuring The Fiddlesticks, High & Low, Andreas Don Redmon and Karin Risberg.

29 augusti - Folk på Vänna
A festival packed with music from artists from both the US and Sweden, performed completely unamplified with a full sound and lighting setup in the beautiful barn, and the atmosphere is electric! Food trucks, a bar, homemade Southern food, a DJ and camping.

Where to find the most music in Dalsland

Summer music with Alban Faust at the Canal

This summer, the lock areas and riverbanks along the Dalsland Canal will be filled with live folk music. Between 23 July and 2 August, the national folk musician and instrument maker Alban Faust will be going on tour with friends. Aboard his unique wooden boat, he will travel between the venues, letting the sounds of Dalsland folk music ring out into the bright summer evenings.

Scensommar in Håverud

June 23 - August 9, at the large yellow house called Disponentvillan by the locks.
A collaboration between Kulturbruket på Dal and Håverud Hotel. Scensommar i Håverud is a popular series of performances and music that brings culture to the summer from a stage on the waters of Höljen in Håverud.

Åmål is a real hub for events, and in the summer the town is filled with live music. Although the blues holds a special place in Åmål’s heart, there are plenty of other music scenes to discover, with Dalslands Skafferi starting to make a name for itself. Don’t miss the events in Fengersfors!

Gustavsfors
In a short space of time, Johanna and Kristoffer have created a much-talked-about and well-attended music venue in the countryside, where American and Swedish folk music in particular draws people in to dance, stamp their feet and applaud. Here, the simple life, closeness to nature, good food and drink, creativity and the meeting of culture and nature are celebrated.

In the picturesque village of Nössemark, far away from practically everything, you’ll find this wonderful, colourful mini-venue.
