About Sjuhärad and the trails
Welcome to beautiful Sjuhärad, the perfect place for a cycling or walking holiday! You’ll find lots of lovely trails here suitable for both activities, where you can admire this area’s stunning scenery and fascinating history, and make your own adventures.
The terrain is varied and changeable, with everything from open agricultural land to extensive forests, and is pleasantly undulating, with an abundance of lakes. The trails go through country that often has an interesting historic tale to tell. All the paths in this brochure are of a very good standard. You’ll be able to follow with confidence the well-marked trails, pause at designated rest areas, easily find relevant information, and sights worth seeing. There are trails suitable for all, ranging from easy short walks to more challenging longer ones.
About the project
The Cycle and Walk in Sjuhärad Project has collected together a prime selection ofthe very best and most beautifulroutes, all of which are of high quality, and great to get out on. The project is financed by the Boråsregionen Sjuhärads local authority and is a collaboration between the municipalities of Vårgårda, Herrljunga, Ulricehamn, Tranemo, Svenljunga, Mark, Bollebygd and Borås. The aim is for the project to create more jobs in the tourism and service sectors in Sjuhärad by encouraging more visitors to come here and explore the trails in this area.
