These beautiful rugged islands are the home of Väderöarnas Guesthouse & Conference, a fascinating place where you live in the old pilot families’ carefully renovated houses. You can recuperate here, go walking, catch lobster and enjoy good food all year round.
Accommodation in archipelago idyll
Väderöarna, one of Sweden's most westerly group of islands, is an important outpost of the Bohuslän archipelago. Beyond the islands there is an unbroken horizon. The most skilled and experienced pilots used to live here with their families. Since those days the place has been converted into a cosy accommodation with magnificent views of the wide open sea.
Living history of pilots
Enjoy the peaceful life and the feeling of being on a desert island. Walk along the beautiful footpaths or join a guided tour and learn more about the history of pilots. You can also go out to sea on the small fishing boat Wilma to catch lobster and mackerel. When you come back you may well enjoy some time in the wood-fired granite sauna or a soak in one of the hot tubs.
Food with the seasons
When the time comes for dinner you’ll find that the cuisine follows the rhythms of the sea, the weather and the seasons. The restaurant is part of the network A taste of West Sweden. The network gathers restaurants and cafes that, in close collaboration with local producers, offer West Swedish culinary experiences based on seasonal and local ingredients.
