Canoeing
In Munkedal district you can paddle into the wilderness all the way up to Dalsland or you can choose the coastline at Gullmarsfjorden Either way you will experience fantastic nature and wildlife. In Sweden you can paddle almost everywhere, but please respect the wildlife. You can rent a canoe from Friluftsfrämjandets canoe center at Kaserna.
Kaserna - start of adventures
From Kaserna on the shore of lake Vassbotten you can paddle along the waterways into Dalsland. The nature is beautiful and varied and the journey goes through historical environments, beautiful landscapes and strident wilderness. The water
trail from Östersjön to Vassbotten was used until 1965 as a waterway for timber to the papermaking at the mill in Munkedal. Hence the name Flottarleden. The journey goes on in sometimes wild and quiet
