Our sparsely trafficked country roads and fine gravel roads take you through forests, across the countryside and along our lakes. The roads link villages, churches, flea markets, museums, cafés, artist studios. Combine your bike rides with a comfortable bed, nice packed lunches to put in your backpack and good dinners in the evening and you will have an experience beyond the ordinary.

Upperud, Mellerud
Stay in one of the coolest hotel in Dalsland. Upperud 9:9 is a designer hotel located in an old silo buy the lake. Here they take the food serious with home-grown and locally produced ingredients and a lot of love. If you bike to the south you have nice country roads that leads you to churches, small shops and cute destiations. To the north it is more hilly but the nature is grand. Here you are close attractions like the aqueduct in Håverud, the art museum of Dalsland and the Dalsland canal. If you don´t have a bike, you can rent one for an extra fee.

Baldersnäs Herrgård, Dals Långed
A pleasant bike ride along the Union Trail. Start with a morning dip in the lake, breakfast and take a lovely bike ride to Not Quite. In the evening, a 5-course menu awaits you. This beautiful mansion is located on a peninsula and is known for its exclusive food and stunning surroundings. Of course you can choose your own biking routs and visit some of the other nice must-see sights and attractions i the area.
Ragnerud

Stay in one of their cozy cabins surrounded by nature at Lake Ragnerudssjön. The landscape is perfect for both leisure och MTB. You can choose to use the kitchen at the sight or in you cabin. But they have a popular and highly recommended restaurant where they serve well-cooked and local food. This is a very family frendly place. The kids can swim in the lake, eat ice cream and explore the nature.

The northern Dalsland is a beautiful place to bike and is beloved by those who enjoy MTB and gravel biking. The small country roads don´t have a lot of trafic and if you are not afraid of hills gives you beautiful views over lakes and forrests. First hotel collaborates with Silverlake which has a workshop, rental- and bicycle shop. It is possible to rinse and wash the bike and lock it in. You eat well in the restaurant and live comfortably. The hotel provides you with a nice lunch bag on the tours.

In Håverud you are close to many of Dalslands most popular sites and destinations to explore by bike. Take a break and have your lunch and a thermos filled with coffee, at one of our nearly 2000 lakes in Dalsland. End the day with dinner at Håverud's hotel and why not take an evening dip in Upperudshöljen just below the hotel. After a good night's sleep, you can have a delicious breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake. You receive maps of trails around Håverud. You have the opportunity to lock your bikes and thay can provide smaller repairs and bike washing.

The biggest provider of bikes, canoes and kayaks in Dalsland. Here you will find anything you need for biking i Dalsland including a a workshop for repairs, rental and bicycle shop. They can also provide rout suggestions that suit your wishes and limitations no matter what type of cycling you want to engage in. If you want to stay the night Silverlake has a small hostel called Hemgården in the center of Bengtsfors with restaurants and shops near by.
