Nolhaga park
Alingsås
Just a ten-minute walk from Alingsås city center, Nolhaga Park is an oasis featuring ancient woodland, a playground, a farm, sports halls, and allotment gardens, all set by Lake Mjörn.
Nolhaga Castle and Park are within walking distance from the city center and serve as Alingsås residents’ green oasis. The park offers sports halls, a swimming pool, illuminated walking trails, one of Sweden’s northernmost beech forests, allotment gardens, “primeval forest,” a nature reserve, a disc golf course, and Lake Mjörn – the third largest lake in Västergötland.
Nolhaga Playground
Nolhaga Playground offers a variety of challenges for those who dare! Covering 1,225 m², there’s plenty to explore, including a sandbox, swing sets, companion swings, an obstacle course, playhouses, and a play castle. There’s something for everyone – the playground is designed to be fun and accessible for all.

Nolhagaviken Nature Reserve
Nolhagaviken is one of Alingsås’ four urban nature reserves, covering a total of 55 hectares. The marsh, also known as “Kongo,” is allowed to develop freely as a periodically flooded old-growth forest. Visitors can walk along the boardwalk and experience the primeval forest with all their senses.
Nolhagaviken is particularly known as a resting area for migratory birds in spring and autumn. From the centrally located birdwatching tower northwards to Lycksalighetens Island, a belt of reeds transitions into a mosaic of wetlands.

Nolhaga Labyrinth
Walking through the labyrinth is like a journey through time—from the past to the future, reconnecting with ancient history on the northern side. Among the stones, you’ll find 33 plaques with texts about Alingsås’ history. In the center of the labyrinth, two flat stones provide a place to sit and reflect on the magic of nature in the park.
Nolhaga Outdoor Gym
Since summer 2014, Nolhaga Park has had an outdoor gym located next to a jogging trail. It consists of eight different exercise stations that use your own body weight for resistance.
