From a star-studded opening concert at Stora Teatern in Gothenburg, the Bohuslän Chamber Music Festival once again unfolds across the Bohuslän region. Enjoy musical stopovers in several coastal locations where world-class performers meet the serene atmosphere of Sweden’s west coast — each concert becoming a destination of its own.
The Festival Returns to Bohuslän
After the successful inaugural year in 2025, the Bohuslän Chamber Music Festival invites audiences to chamber musical encounters and storytelling between 25–28 June on Gullholmen, Orust, Tjörn, Marstrand and Öckerö.
Experience summer concerts featuring mezzo-soprano Malena Ernman, actor Rolf Lassgård, and Europe’s top chamber musicians performing on some of the west coast’s most atmospheric stages — in churches, historic venues and spectacular cultural landscapes.
Star-Studded Opening Night
The festival opens at the historic Stora Teatern in Gothenburg with international star John Malkovich in the music-dramatic production Report on the Blind.
Also appearing are actor Rolf Lassgård, pianist Anastasya Terenkova and The Funäs Chamber Soloists under the artistic direction of Massimo Quarta.

This year’s festival presents an international ensemble including:

The repertoire includes works by Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Brahms and Tchaikovsky. One of the festival’s highlights is the outdoor concert at Pilane Sculpture Park, where music and landscape interact in a unique artistic setting.
